Jaguars | Jeremy Mincey ready for anything

Jacksonville Jaguars DE Jeremy Mincey said Wednesday, July 24, he is willing to do anything the team needs. The team will still use a 4-3 defensive scheme, but it will have some 3-4 elements mixed in, which appears to leave Mincey in some limbo. However, he isn’t worried, and neither is general manager David Caldwell. ‘We have a role for Mince, and we’ll use him in a variety of different fashions. He has some inside pass-rush skills and he has some outside pass-rush skills. There are going to be different packages where he’s going to be valuable for us,’ Caldwell said.

Dolphins | Caleb Sturgis could save a ton

Miami Dolphins PK Caleb Sturgis has fallen behind PK Dan Carpenter, and the team continues to say the best player will win the job. Sturgis is due to make just $405,000 in the first year of his rookie contract, and Carpenter will make $2.68 million if he makes the team. The team could save more than $2 million and valuable cap room if Sturgis can win the job.
