Giants | Henry Hynoski hopes to be ready for Week 1

New York Giants FB Henry Hynoski (knee) said he is going to do everything he can to be ready to play in Week 1. ‘I’m gonna do everything in my power to get back for the first game — that’s my goal, that’s my intention,’ Hynoski said Tuesday. ‘But ultimately that decision is not up to me. I just want to get back to playing football at the earliest possible date. Everything’s going well in my rehab, making advances and strides every day, and I’m just excited with my progress and I know the trainers are happy where I’m at too.’

Eagles | Offense might be slowed

The NFL might slow down Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly’s fast-paced offense this year based on rule restrictions. ‘We have to make sure teams understand that they don’t control the tempo, our officials do,’ NFL vice president of officiating Dean Blandino said. ‘We’re going through our normal ball mechanics, we aren’t going to rush (unless) it’s in the two-minute drill.’ Kelly prefers to run a play every 12 seconds, and his team at Oregon ran 82.8 players per game last season.
