Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger dealing with discomfort
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) is dealing with some discomfort in his knee, but it is not considered a setback.
Footballguys View: This is the second year of Todd Haley as offensive coordinator, so Roethlisberger can miss some time without too many repercussions. Still, developing chemistry with third-round pick Markus Wheaton would be beneficial. Roethlisberger will likely play all of this year banged up, just as he has for most of his career.

Steelers | Marcus Gilbert carted off
Pittsburgh Steelers OT Marcus Gilbert (undisclosed) was carted off the field after running Friday, July 26. Gilbert was able to pass the conditioning test but was bending over for a long period of time on the ground after the test.
Footballguys View: Ever since Korey Stringer’s untimely death from heat exhaustion complications during Vikings camp in 2001, teams are being extra careful with players that show signs of exhaustion, although this one can probably be chalked up to “out of shape”.
