Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said RB DuJuan Harris (knee) was going to have a big role on offense this season as part of a tandem with RB Eddie Lacy before he was placed on Injured Reserve. ‘You have a vision, packages in place on how you’re going to start the season. I’ll just tell you this: DuJuan was a big part of particularly my individual focus for this season. Last week was really the first opportunity to play DuJuan and Eddie Lacy in a game as kind of a 1-2 type punch format, and that has now changed,’ McCarthy said.
Footballguys View: Losing Harris is unfortunate for the team. He was originally listed as a co-starter with rookie Eddie Lacy (Alabama) at the start of camp. Harris could have provided a good change of pace to Lacy because of his swift style and moves in the open field. That change of pace role will now have to be found in guys like Jonathan Franklin, James Starks or Alex Green.
