Chicago Bears LB D.J. Williams (calf) has resumed running, as he continues to progress from a calf injury which has sidelined him for the first three preseason games. ‘He’s day to day, but we’ll see where it goes. We’re optimistic he’s gonna be close (to fully healthy by Week 1). It’s still day to day, but there is progress,’ head coach Marc Trestman said Monday, Aug. 26. If Williams is unable to go, LB Jonathan Bostic might start in Week 1 at middle linebacker.
