Redskins | Teammate says Robert Griffin not 100 percent

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon said it is obvious that QB Robert Griffin III (knee) is not 100 percent at this time and that he is a different player than he was last season. ‘He’s not fully healthy, obviously,’ Garcon said. ‘He’s running a little bit more. But last year’s RGIII was a lot different from this year’s RG because of his knee. It’s not surprising. We’ve been talking about it the whole offseason. It’s the same question every day on Monday. We can find something else to talk about.’

Saints | Mark Ingram not looking for trade

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said there is no truth to the rumor that RB Mark Ingram is looking for a trade.

Footballguys View: Ingram has failed to impress during his pro career after the Saints spent a first-round pick on him in the 2011 NFL draft. The Saints would be hard pressed to get much more than a mid- or late-round pick for Ingram.

Dolphins | Not interested in Joe Thomas

The Miami Dolphins have not expressed interest in trading for Cleveland Browns OT Joe Thomas.

Footballguys View: The Dolphins could use help at the left tackle position after losing Jake Long (Rams) in free agency. Adding Thomas would come with a hefty price tag as he’s one of the top paid tackles in the NFL.

Bills | Fred Jackson carries majority of load

Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson rushed 13 times for 67 yards in Week 3’s loss to the New York Jets, but 59 of those yards came on one play. RB C.J. Spiller (thigh) gained just nine yards on nine carries in the first half of the game and was injured in the second half. Spiller has 43 carries for just 153 yards and no touchdowns through three weeks.

Footballguys View: It’s a perfect time to buy low on Spiller. We’ll continue to see this workload split so long as Spiller can stay healthy.

Dolphins | Jeff Ireland gets contract extension

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland received a contract extension that will keep him with the team through at least the end of the 2014 season. Terms of the extension were not disclosed.

Footballguys View: Ireland has experienced highs and lows during his time with the Dolphins. Many felt he was on the hot seat this year but the team is responding with a 3-0 start. Ireland was incredibly aggressive this offseason in both free agency and the draft. It also helps his cause that second-year QB Ryan Tannehill is looking more and more like a franchise QB every week.
