Lions | Reggie Bush could have played

Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (knee) said he could have played in Week 3 against the Washington Redskins if it were a playoff game. ‘I feel good, man,’ Bush said. ‘Honestly, I could have played today but it was coaches and doctors that decided it was best to sit this one out. Just to not risk any further injury. If it was a playoff game, I would have been in there.’

Footballguys View: The Lions were being wisely cautious with Bush in Week 3. Washington’s run defense is incredibly weak and there was no need to risk further injury with Bush. Joique Bell filled in admirably and had a strong day for his fantasy owners. Bush said he’ll be 100 percent healthy and ready to go in Week 4 against the Chicago Bears.

Seahawks | Russell Wilson has big game

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson threw for four touchdowns in the team’s Week 3 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and QB Tarvaris Jackson also threw for a touchdown and ran one in. Both quarterbacks combined for 331 yards and five touchdown passes and completed 21 of 29 throws. TE Zach Miller and WR Sidney Rice had two touchdowns each.

Footballguys View: No surprise here. The Seahawks were going to roll the Jaguars and could have done it on the ground or through the air. Jackson had a better fantasy day than some starters in Week 3.

Cowboys | Miles Austin hamstring injury not serious

The Dallas Cowboys do not believe WR Miles Austin’s (hamstring) injury is as serious as previous hamstring injuries. The team will see how he feels Wednesday, Sept. 25, before determining if he will practice.

Footballguys View: More of the same with Miles Austin. He’s incredibly talented but oft-injured. Hamstring injuries are known to linger if not given proper time to heal. We’ll see Austin limited in practice this week if he even does practice.
