Carolina Panthers LB Chase Blackburn used his familiarity with his former team, the New York Giants, to help his new team prepare to play them in Week 3. “I had an idea of what they run and what they like to do in situations,” Blackburn said. “We had a great game plan going in. I’ve been sharing all the information all week. Guys, all of us, linebackers were out there knowing what to do; (defensive backs) knew what kind of routes they were going to get off the route combinations.

Broncos | Ronnie Hillman scores touchdown in unique way
Denver Broncos RB Ronnie Hillman scored a touchdown in the team’s Week 3 game after winning a game of rock-paper-scissors on the sidelines with RBs Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball to see who would get the goal line carry. ‘We were just messing around on the sideline,’ Hillman said. ‘Just something to do. Have fun.’
Footballguys View: Hillman broke off a 19-yard run to get to the one-yard line before plunging in for the touchdown on the next play. This Broncos backfield is still a mess and one nobody has figured out just yet. In easier matchups we could see more from Hillman or rookie Montee Ball. In tougher matchups we should continue to see Knowshon Moreno as the top back because of his ability in pass protection.

Lions | Potential WR trade options
The Detroit Lions could look to trade for Cleveland Browns WRs Josh Gordon or Greg Little or Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt after WR Nate Burleson (arm) suffered a broken arm. The Browns have said that they aren’t looking to deal Gordon or Little, though.
Footballguys View: We don’t expect the Lions to just sit around here. They should make a move at some point this week. Adding Gordon would be huge as he could be a bright spot in the passing game opposite Calvin Johnson. Britt would have upside as well, but his inconsistent play could be frustrating for fantasy owners.
