Put Redskins opponents on auto-start

Redskins set infamous record: The Lions beat the Redskins yesterday, which was incredibly their first win in Washington since about the time World War II was getting underway. Those of us who thought the Lions stood a chance of winning probably guessed it would be a 45-38 shootout type of final score. It really wasn’t. Detroit won 27-20, and the sad part is that was Washington’s best outing of the season. The Redskins have conceded an astounding 1,464 yards to date this season, which sets an NFL record for worst performance in the history of the league in the first three weeks of the season. Good thing Washington has a few first-round picks they can use to help address the holes […]

Titans | Nate Washington steps up

Tennessee Titans WR Nate Washington caught eight passes for a career-high 131 yards in the team’s Week 3 victory over the San Diego Chargers. ‘Nate just balled out – that’s all you can say,’ WR Kendall Wright said. ‘He’s a captain and he kept leading us, by example and vocally. When you get a vet like that who’s been in the game a long time, you listen to him because he’s one of the hardest-working guys out there.’ Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said QB Jake Locker believes in Washington.

Titans | Kenny Britt a non-factor

Updating a previous report, Tennessee Titans WR Kenny Britt once again was lackluster in the team’s Week 3 win over the San Diego Chargers and had several drops. In a key late-game third-and-long situation, Britt was benched in favor of WR Justin Hunter, who wound up making the game-winning touchdown catch. Britt was on the sideline for all of the team’s 10 plays during their 94-yard game-winning drive. WR Nate Washington, who had eight catches in the game, has become the team’s top wideout, with WR Kendall Wright running more of the underneath routes. Britt said he was banged up with a sore neck and bruised rib from a scary tackle in the second quarter, but offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains said the receiver rotation on the final drive was a coaching decision. Britt was targeted five times in the game and didn’t have a single catch, including two drops. ‘Kenny’s still a physical specimen. He’s going to be part of this offense,’ Loggains said. ‘We just have to clean that stuff up. We can’t have dropped balls from anyone. We can’t have penalties. We can be a good football team if we clean that stuff up. We’re not going to be good if we’re stupid.’
