Detroit Lions LB Brandon Hepburn, who is currently on the team’s practice squad, was involved in a car accident on Nov. 17. According to The Detroit Free Press, Hepburn drove through a non-functioning traffic light in a Detroit suburb, failed to yield, and broadsided Angela Marie Chantelois. Chantelois suffered a head injury in the accident, according to the report, but her current condition is unknown. Hepburn is ‘likely’ to be cited for the accident, per the report.

Lions | Preparing for any Green Bay quarterback

Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz is preparing his game to face either Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers or QB Matt Flynn, or even QB Scott Tolzien although most media reports have Flynn definitely starting the game on Thursday, Nov. 28. “We have game plans ready for all those different things,” Schwartz said. “Whatever quarterback they throw out there, we’ll be ready. We’ve looked at all three of them that have potential to be able to play in this game.”

Packers | Aaron Rodgers not cleared for games

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) said Tuesday, Nov. 26, in his radio show that he has yet to be cleared for game action, only to practice. ‘Obviously I know I’m a right-handed quarterback, but I still need to be able to have strength in that (left) arm,’ Rodgers said. ‘Obviously (we’ve) been trying to push it as much as has been reasonable. But, it’s a waiting game with broken bones.’

Redskins | Fred Davis saw limited snaps

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said Tuesday, Nov. 26, that he does not discuss discipline concerning a player. However, a report from NBC Washington surfaced that TE Fred Davis missed team meetings during the week leading up to the Week 12 game against the San Francisco 49ers Monday, Nov. 25. Davis played sparingly, on the field for the final drive. He was not targeted once. TE Logan Paulsen was the team’s top tight end, with TE Niles Paul playing a hybrid fullback/tight end role with FB Darrel Young (hamstring) inactive.
