Vikings | Cordarrelle Patterson finishes with bang

Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson had two carries for 54 yards and a 50-yard touchdown in the Week 17 game against the Detroit Lions, and he posted two catches for 31 yards and another score. Patterson managed nine touchdowns over his final five games.

Footballguys View: Patterson will surely be a hot sleeper next year as the Vikings enter the season with a new and hopefully more offense-friendly head coach and improved quarterback situation.

Lions | Jim Schwartz wants to stick around

Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said Sunday, Dec. 29, that he wants to come back next season and finish what he’s started.

Footballguys View: Schwartz has basically presided over a team that has stalled out after looking very promising in 2011. Their team-wide lack of discipline is on him, and the team is in need of a change, possibly to an offense-oriented coach, like the transition the Bears made this season.
