Titans | Chris Johnson won’t take pay cut

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson feels like he’s still one of the more dynamic running backs in the league, and he said he will not take a pay cut to remain with the team after this season. Johnson is scheduled to make $8 million next year. ‘No way. I don’t feel like it’s all my fault. It’s a team effort,’ Johnson said when asked if he’d take a pay cut. Johnson has only one 100-yard game this season.

Footballguys View: Well he hasn’t been fantastic so it’s not a shock if they asked, but he’s entitled to his money. Not his fault they gave him a contract he wasn’t quite worth.

Saints | Drew Brees practices in full

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Dec. 26, and his knee doesn’t appear to be an issue heading into the team’s Week 17 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. ‘He’s fine,’ head coach Sean Payton said. ‘He had a right knee bruise. There’s nothing more to it than that. And yet, we thought it was best we limited the amount of snaps he’s getting. … We just felt like we had a day to do that.’ Brees showed no signs of his knee affecting him in practice the last two days.

Footballguys View: Brees is one of our top fantasy quarterbacks this weekend and the Saints need him.
