Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (knee) declined comment on a report that he is playing with a partially torn posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. ‘Y’all will have to ask me those questions on Thursday,’ Johnson said Tuesday, Dec. 23. ‘I don’t want to talk about that stuff.’ Head coach Jim Schwartz has said offseason surgery is not required, and that Johnson could play in the Week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Cleveland Browns FS T.J. Ward is in the final year of his rookie contract, and the Week 17 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers might be his last. Ward is hopeful to return. ‘I definitely want to be back,’ Ward said Tuesday, Dec. 24. ‘I like my team. I love my teammates. I love being in this city. I love the organization. We haven’t had many wins, but I think we’re building something here, and I think it’s being built the right way.’
