Cowboys hire Linehan to call plays: Never being a group to shy away from out-of-the-box ideas, the Dallas Cowboys have hired former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan to call plays. But there’s a twist — the Cowboys are also retaining Bill Callahan to be the team’s offensive coordinator. Denver Broncos WR Wes Welker said if he had a concussion, he would try to play through it to play in the Super Bowl, even if doctors advised against it. “You know,” Welker said. “You want to be out there.
