Broncos | Won’t tweak offense

Denver Broncos running backs coach Eric Studesville said the team will not change up their offense to account for facing the No. 1 overall defense in the league this season in the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII. ‘We got to do everything,’ Studesville said. ‘It can’t just be looking for places to find a run. We’ve got to complement everything: The run builds on the play-action pass, which then gives us things in the dropback pass, if we’re running it effective. We’re going to do the same things we’ve been done all season.’

Footballguys View: The Broncos offense is the most high-powered offense in the league. They don’t need to tweak anything, they just need to execute.

Bills | Willing to re-sign Jairus Byrd

The Buffalo Bills feel they can work out a long-term extension with impending free-agent FS Jairus Byrd despite coming to a stalemate in contract talks last year. ‘It’s a process and there’s no carryover. You start over again and you try to get something done,’ president Russ Brandon said. ‘We just weren’t able to come up with a solution that worked for both parties, so you reset it and start again.’ The team remains in contact with Byrd’s representatives, and there is ‘great communication.’ Byrd played under a $6.9 million franchise tag in 2013. The Bills won’t rule out using the franchise tag on Byrd again, however.
