Steelers | Shamarko Thomas could start

Pittsburgh Steelers SS Shamarko Thomas could start at safety next season because the team is not expected to re-sign impending free-agent FS Ryan Clark.

Footballguys View: Thomas played very limited snaps, but seemed effective when he got in the game. He’ll have to prove himself in camp, as the Steelers will definitely bring in competition.

Steelers | Brett Keisel would have to take pay cut

Pittsburgh Steelers impending free-agent DE Brett Keisel will have to accept a significant pay cut if he wants to re-sign with the Steelers.

Footballguys View: Keisel wasn’t very effective and certainly not worth the $4.9 million he cost this year. The Steelers will probably draft a defensive end this year.
