Panthers | Two contracts restructured
Carolina Panthers C Ryan Kalil and RB Jonathan Stewart had their contracts restructured for 2014. Kalil’s salary was reduced from $4.75 million to $855,000 and the rest was converted to a signing bonus. Kalil’s cap number decreased from $10.4 million to $7.28 million. As for Stewart his $1.5 million salary has been reduced to $785,000, with the remainder being added into the player’s signing bonus. The new value of the signing bonus is $7.5 million, which will be prorated over five seasons. This lowers Stewart’s 2014 cap hit to just under $1 million.
