North Carolina TE Eric Ebron (hamstring) was unable to complete his workout at the NFL Scouting Combine Saturday, Feb. 22, and was seen icing his hamstring following the end of the 40-yard dash tests. He appeared to pull up on his second attempt at the 40-yard dash, and was given an official time of 4.60 seconds in the event. He followed the rest of the tight ends’ workouts, walking with a slight limp.

NFL | Jace Amaro struggles

Texas Tech TE Jace Amaro struggled as a pass catcher at the NFL Scouting Combine Saturday, Feb. 22, and he dropped multiple passes. Further, Amaro’s lack of definition in his upper body stood in stark contrast to several of the other highly regarded prospects at the position. However, he was able to hoist 28 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press.

Vikings | Interviewing Johnny Manziel

The Minnesota Vikings were scheduled to interview Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel, as well as eight or nine top quarterback prospects Saturday, Feb. 22, at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to a source. The Vikings hold the eighth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and are one of a handful of teams considering a quarterback upgrade while scouting the combine this week.

Georgia Southern RB Jerick McKinnon posted 32 reps of 225 pounds in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine Saturday, Feb. 22. University of Washington RB Bishop Sankey had 26 reps, Colorado State RB Kapri Bibbs posted 24 reps, while Louisiana State RB J.C. Copeland, Alabama State Isaiah Crowell, Mississippi State RB LaDarius Perkins and Wisconsin RB James White each checked in with 23 reps. Western Kentucky RB Antonio Andrews, Kent State RB Dri Archer, Sam Houston State RB Timothy Flanders, Louisiana State RB Jeremy Hill and Missouri RB Henry Josey checked in with 20 reps, while Notre Dame RB George Atkinson III, University of Arizona RB Ka’Deem Carey and Ohio State RB Carlos Hyde had 19 reps apiece.

Wake Forest WR Michael Campanaro, Saginaw Valley State WR Jeff Janis and Missouri WR Marcus Lucas had 20 reps, while Nebraska WR Quincy Enunwa posted 19 reps. Wyoming WR Robert Herron checked in with 18 reps, while Clemson WR Martavis Bryant, Fresno State WR Isaiah Burse, Oregon State WR Brandin Cooks and Clemson WR Sammy Watkins managed 16 reps.
