Jaguars | Luke Joeckel participating in OTAs

Jacksonville Jaguars OT Luke Joeckel (ankle) completed all three practices during organized team activities this week. Joeckel had a gruesome broken ankle that ended his rookie season last year in just the fifth game of the season. “I was pleased with how my ankle held up,” Joeckel said. “This week was very important to me. I didn’t know how it would be pushing off and going against another guy. I felt like I was moving really well. Overall, I thought it was a good first week, even if I had no injury.” Joeckel said he took the first two snaps of every first-team drill over the three days, and he wants to increase his workload Monday, June 2.

Texans | Studying Patriots film, speeding up offense

Houston Texans QB T.J. Yates said the team has been studying old New England Patriots film during quarterback meetings. New head coach Bill O’Brien was an assistant coach with the Patriots from 2007 to 2011. “Obviously watch a lot of Patriots film and seeing how they do it,” Yates said. “We’re trying to mimic them right now.” O’Brien has also been speeding up the tempo of the team’s practices since taking over.

Dolphins | Former scout threatens lawsuit

Former Miami Dolphins scout Nate Sullivan has threatened a lawsuit on the team and the NFL alleging his recent firing violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. Sullivan’s attorney’s litigation letter claims that Sullivan was fired earlier this month because general manager Dennis Hickey was unhappy with Sullivan’s remote working status. Sullivan, a 17-year Dolphins scout, started working from home in 2004 to help assist his wife in her medical treatment for cystic fibrosis.

Eagles | Mark Sanchez not limited by shoulder

Philadelphia Eagles QB Mark Sanchez said he hasn’t been limited at all in organized team activities by his surgically repaired right shoulder. ‘Maybe this whole shoulder thing and relocation has just been a blessing in disguise,’ Sanchez said. ‘Maybe that year off was exactly what I needed. Got a little rest for my legs, for my arm, and I feel great.’
