Titans | OC happy with Jake Locker’s offseason
Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Jason Michael said he has been happy with how QB Jake Locker (foot) performed this offseason. ‘From day one, he’s worked his butt off from rehabilitation of his foot to jumping in the playbook, to how he’s gone about his preparation on the field. It’s been a frustrating go at times with his foot, but he’s never shown it. He’s a poised man. I’m excited about working with him. He does some good things that we’ve already seen,’ Michael said.

49ers | Kendall Hunter may be No. 2 RB for now
The San Francisco 49ers may consider RB Kendall Hunter as their No. 2 running back at this point, because they know he does well in pass protection and blitz pickup. The team has not seen RB Carlos Hyde and RB Marcus Lattimore in pads at this point and is not sure about their pass protection skills.
Footballguys View: Hunter tore his achilles two years ago, but he should be back to top form this year, and he is a very good all-around back. Hyde is more of a pounder, and Lattimore is a classic feature back with unknown physical ability coming back from what looked like a career-ending injury at the time. Hunter might be worth more than people think if Frank Gore gets hurt or his play goes over the cliff.

Chargers | Division influenced Brandon Flowers’ decision
San Diego Chargers CB Brandon Flowers said part of the reason he signed with the Chargers is that they are in the same division as the Kansas City Chiefs and will be able to play them twice this upcoming season.
Footballguys View: Flowers should push rookie Jason Verrett to the slot and give the Chargers one of the better corners they have had for a while, even with the dropoff in play that caused the Chiefs to release him.
