Bears | Terrence Toliver a dark horse

Chicago Bears WR Terrence Toliver is a dark horse to win a roster spot with the team. He has shown gradual improvement with the team and has good size.

Footballguys View: Toliver has great size and overall athleticism, but he was extremely inconsistent at LSU and had to work his way up from the depths of the practice squad and bouncing around the bottom of NFL rosters. He would be a good fit as a backup receiver in Chicago.

Bears | Want Marquess Wilson to be No. 3

The Chicago Bears want WR Marquess Wilson to win the slot receiver role. The job is his to lose unless he falters drastically in training camp.

Footballguys View: Wilson has been working with Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery in the offseason. He has added muscle and appears to be focused on the task ahead of him. If Marshall or Jeffery go down, Wilson will have fantasy value this year, and he can add to Jay Cutler’s value even if the top two receivers stay healthy.

Chargers | Antonio Gates entering his last year in San Diego?

San Diego Chargers TE Antonio Gates is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2016. He will carry an estimated salary-cap charge of $8.262 million in 2015 and leave the Chargers on the hook for $2.362 million in dead money, should they choose to release Gates. Cutting him will save the team $5.9 million against their 2015 cap. Gates will be 35 years old entering the 2015 season, and the Chargers reportedly want to increase TE Ladarius Green’s role in 2014.
