Patriots | Brandon Browner could be one and done?

New England Patriots CB Brandon Browner will count an estimated $5.5 million against the Patriots’ 2015 salary cap. New England can release him prior to the start of the 2015 league year without taking a cap hit. Releasing Browner would also create an additional $5.5 million in penalty-free cap space in 2016. Browner, who turns 30 years old Aug. 2, 2014, has missed 10 games because of suspensions in the past two seasons and is suspended for the first four contests in 2014.

Titans | Daimion Stafford could see his role expand

Tennessee Titans S Daimion Stafford has earned plenty of praise from defensive backs coach Louie Cioffi. ‘Coming into this year Daimion was a very productive special-teams player for this organization,’ said. ‘He is a very gifted, talented, athletic player, so we expect him to grow and be as productive as he was on special teams last year in a defensive role.’
