Chargers | Jason Verrett could be ready for training camp
A source said San Diego Chargers CB Jason Verrett’s (shoulder) surgically-repaired right shoulder remains ‘right on track,’ although he is not yet ready for football contact. There is a possibility that he could be on the field when training camp opens July 24.
Footballguys View: Verrett is a talented corner with good upside, and that’s why the Chargers selected him in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. He’s a bit undersized, but Verrett backs down from no challenge. He’ll compete for a spot as the team’s nickel corner as a rookie.

The Cleveland Browns have signed OG Joel Bitonio to a four-year contract worth $5.46 million.
Footballguys View: A left tackle during his time in college at Nevada, Bitonio is likely to play guard in the pros even though he has no experience playing inside. He has a powerful initial punch, and Bitonio does a good job of driving defenders back as a run-blocker.
