Patriots | Rob Gronkowski could be ready for camp

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) may be ready to participate at the start of training camp, but the team probably will be cautious with him early in camp.

Footballguys View: We can’t imagine Gronkowski doing too much at the start of camp. The team will ease him into the lineup in the preseason in order to have him ready for Week 1 of the regular season.

Ravens | Joe Flacco looking good in offense

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco has looked to be a good fit in offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak’s system based on his performance during offseason workouts.

Footballguys View: Flacco is a pure pocket passer, and that’s a perfect fit for what Kubiak expects from his quarterbacks. Matt Schaub finished as the 3rd-best fantasy quarterback in 2009 playing under Kubiak. Flacco is not getting drafted in 12-team PPR leagues right now. Keep him on your waiver wire speed dial if he flourishes under Kubiak in 2014.

Bills | Several expected to compete for No. 3 WR job

Buffalo Bills WRs Mike Williams, Chris Hogan, Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham are expected to compete for the No. 3 wide receiver job during training camp.

Footballguys View: We’ll see if Williams or Robert Woods wins the WR2 job in camp. We like Woods on the outside more than Williams, but it has to shake out in the preseason. Goodwin has Olympic speed and would be a fine slot receiver if Williams fails to impress.
