Bills | Jason Babin unlikely a target
The Buffalo Bills likely will not pursue free-agent DE Jason Babin (Jaguars), because they have a lot of money invested in their defensive line and likely would not be interested in meeting his asking price.

Rams | Greg Robinson a work in progress
St. Louis Rams OG Greg Robinson, the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft, is frustrated that he’s not making much progress in his transition from left tackle to starting left guard this offseason. ‘I didn’t know what to expect, honestly,’ Robinson said. ‘I put a lot of pressure on myself because I like to challenge myself. It’s something I want to do and just stand out to the coaches and let them be comfortable with their choice.’ Robinson hasn’t played the guard spot since high school. Offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer, however, is pleased with Robinson’s progress and knows the transition won’t come overnight. Robinson will focus more on his technique as a pass protector, the area of his game most in need of work, during training camp.

Redskins | Jim Haslett sees upside in defense
Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jim Haslett likes what he sees from his defense this season. The past four years, Haslett’s job was made tougher as head coach Mike Shanahan continually tinkered with the defense, according to people within the organization. Now, the club has committed $26 million in guaranteed money to retain LB Brian Orakpo and DT Chris Baker. Haslett is optimistic that the team will generate more of a pass rush, and he’s also excited about improvement in the secondary.

Eagles | OC impressed with Nick Foles’ smarts
Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles has impressed new quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave with his ability to process everything that is happening on the field quickly. ‘We know he’s a gifted athlete. He can throw the ball exactly where he wants to. He can add air, add touch. He can add velocity and really drive it when it’s needed. But to see the way that he can visualize formations, coverages, and process what he sees has been impressive,’ Musgrave said. Musgrave thinks Foles can work on getting rid of the ball faster, taking fewer hits and moving the ball forward with his legs when needed.
