Browns | Chris Johnson supports Johnny Manziel
New York Jets RB Chris Johnson supported Cleveland Browns QB Johnny Manziel, saying he should be his own man when it comes to off the field activities. ‘Be your own man,’ Johnson said. ‘Do what you got to do. It’s the offseason. That’s when you get time to do whatever you want to do and live your life. I’m pretty sure once the season gets here, he’ll be all right. He’s going to focus in on football. But this is the time now to where he’ll be able to hang out and do some of the things you want to do. Because once the season gets here, you really have no life. It’s just football and football.”
Footballguys View: So long as his off-field activities don’t impact his on-field performance, most will be okay with Manziel’s antics. The “Get Off My Lawn” crowd doesn’t like when young players have fun and aren’t “all about football.” The bottom line is: that stuff doesn’t matter so long as Manziel is sharp in practice and on Sundays.

Redskins | Robert Griffin III back in 2012 form
Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III looks more explosive this season, according to offensive coordinator Sean McVay. McVay also said he expects Griffin to return to his 2012 form now that he is playing without a knee brace. ‘I don’t think there’s any question: he looks explosive,’ McVay said. ‘He looks like he is exactly what he was in the 2012 season. I think people underestimate when you have a brace on your knee how much that truly restricts you… So I think being able to take that off, he looks extremely explosive.’
