Bengals | Andy Dalton’s rating much higher

Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton possesses a total quarterback rating of 84.0 through three games this year. His best single-season total quarterback rating was 56.8 in 2013.

Footballguys View: The offense is flowing through Dalton. A large reason why he’s experiencing such a strong season is the presence of TE Tyler Eifert. He’s a seam-ripper who attracts the safety’s attention. Having WR Marvin Jones healthy also helps out Dalton and this passing game. In 2015, Dalton has the 3rd-most fantasy points of any quarterback so far this season.

Patriots | Several players work out

Free-agents RB Montee Ball (Broncos), TEs Brandon Bostick (Vikings) and Brian Leonhardt (Raiders), QB Zac Dysert (Texans), RB Darrin Reaves (Panthers) and TE Konrad Reuland (Ravens) worked out for the New England Patriots Tuesday, Sept. 29, according to a source.

Footballguys View: The Patriots are likely just updating their emergency list here. It’s interesting to see Montee Ball get a look from the Patriots. Ball failed in Denver, but it’s been a bit surprising to see him out of work for a few weeks. Perhaps some team is going to add him in the near future.

Packers | Aaron Rodgers off to hot start

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers’ 10 touchdowns without an interception are the second-most all-time through the first three games of a season. Denver Broncos QB Peyton threw 12 in 2013.

Footballguys View: Manning did that in 2013 by throwing seven touchdowns in the season-opening game against the Ravens. Rodgers is super hot right now, and we’re not expecting a cool-down period. Set-it-and-forget-it with Rodgers in your lineup.
