Giants | Victor Cruz works out

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (calf, knee) ran routes and caught passes on a side field during the team’s walkthrough Monday, Sept. 28, and believes he will be able to play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 4. The team plans to have Cruz practice Wednesday, Sept. 30, and possibly again Thursday, Oct. 1, if does not have any problems. Falcons | Julio Jones having big impact

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has 34 receptions in the first three games of the season, which is the most receptions by a player in his team’s first three games. Jones is on pace to shatter the current reception season total of 143 since he is on pace for 181 receptions. He has recorded 440 yards and four touchdowns in three games. Jones was targeted 20 times in Week 3, which is the most for a Falcons player since 2010.

Bills | Sammy Watkins avoids serious injury

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (calf) was diagnosed with a mild calf strain and is listed as day-to-day, according to a source informed of the injury. However, head coach Rex Ryan said there’s a chance that Watkins won’t be able to play in Week 4 against the New York Giants. Watkins had only one catch for 39 yards in Week 3 before he was hurt.
