The Denver Broncos running game failed to materialize again in a Week 3 win over the Detroit Lions. RBs C.J. Anderson (concussion) and Juwan Thompson (neck) missed big chunks of the game due to injury, and the Broncos managed just 41 yards on the ground on 19 carries. Denver ran 99% of their plays in the pistol formation, making QB Peyton Manning more comfortable.
Saints | Drew Brees optimistic about Week 4
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is optimistic that QB Drew Brees (shoulder) can play in Week 4 against the Dallas Cowboys. Brees remains day-to-day but has been making daily progress.
Patriots | Tom Brady great between the numbers
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady was 24-for-25 (96%) on passes between the numbers in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which included his 400th career touchdown throw.
Giants | Victor Cruz ready to play
New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (calf, knee) said he is 100% healthy and ready to play in Week 4 against the Buffalo Bills.
