Dolphins | Branden Albert not expected to play
Miami Dolphins OT Branden Albert (hamstring) is not expected to play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3 because of a hamstring injury. OT Jason Fox likely would start at left tackle if Albert is ruled out.
Colts | Vontae Davis will start Week 3
Indianapolis Colts CB Vontae Davis (concussion) has been cleared to play and will be one of the starting cornerbacks against the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.
Seahawks | Jimmy Graham adjusting to role
Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham admitted that he’s still adjusting to his role in Seattle’s offense and said he isn’t disappointed about his lack of involvement after two weeks. He was targeted just twice in the Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers. ‘This team runs the ball. Simple as that. We’re not slinging the ball 60 times a game. And if we are, then that means we’re in trouble. I’m just going to keep doing what’s asked of me,’ Graham said.
Footballguys View: Things are a lot different from Graham than they were during his time with the Saints. Graham blocked 28% of the time in New Orleans and is blocking 44% of the time after two games in Seattle. He admitted that earning QB Russell Wilson’s trust in the passing game could take time. We’re expecting Graham to get into the end zone at least once in Week 3 against a hapless Bears defense.
Seahawks | Marshawn Lynch questionable
Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (calf) did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 25, and is listed as questionable for the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys View: Even a questionable Lynch is a startable fantasy option. Against the Bears, Lynch could have his usual RB1 day.
Ravens | No timetable for Breshad Perriman
Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) has made progress in his recovery but there is no timetable for his return, according to head coach John Harbaugh. ‘It looks like he’s getting close,’ Harbaugh said. ‘But what that means exactly? I don’t know. Nobody tells me. I have no report on it. I have no information on it because our medical people just don’t know. So, when they tell me he can play, he’ll be out there and play. It’s a tough injury to judge.’
Footballguys View: The rookie is a talented deep receiver, but so far his first season is a wash. When healthy, Perriman could help stretch the field and give the Ravens another weapon at wide receiver besides just Steve Smith.
Redskins | Shawn Lauvao could miss time
Washington Redskins OG Shawn Lauvao (ankle) ‘could miss some time’ with a sprained ankle, according to head coach Jay Gruden.
Redskins | DeSean Jackson could return next week
Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson (hamstring) could return to play in Week 4 against the Philadelphia Eagles, his former team. ‘I think there’s a chance,’ head coach Jay Gruden said. ‘He’s a unique human being in a lot of ways. But we have to be smart. Those hamstrings can be tricky. He has to be full-go.’ Jackson had nine catches for 243 yards and a touchdown in two games against Philadelphia last season.
Redskins | DeAngelo Hall out 3-4 weeks
Washington Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall (toe) is expected to miss three to four weeks, and possibly more, with a sprained right toe, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Hall was diagnosed with a Grade 2 tear after visiting a foot specialist. The team is still unsure if Hall will need surgery.
Seahawks | Friday injury report for Week 3
Seattle Seahawks CB Tharold Simon (toe) and FS Steven Terrell (hip) have been ruled out for the Week 3 game against the Chicago Bears. TE Luke Willson (back) is listed as questionable, while LB Mike Morgan (hamstring), LB Bobby Wagner (ankle), CB Cary Williams (thigh), QB Tarvaris Jackson (ankle) and DE Michael Bennett (toe) are listed as probable. Simon, Terrell and Willson did not participate in practice Friday, Sept. 25, while the other players fully participated in practice.
