Patriots | Two players sign Reserve/Futures deals

New England Patriots WR DeAndre Carter and RB Joey Iosefa signed Reserve/Futures contracts Monday, Jan. 25.

Footballguys View: Carter was undrafted in 2015 coming out of Sacramento State. At 5’10” 185 pounds, Carter can get open on underneath routes and has moves in the open field. Iosefa is a fullback who will compete for a roster spot in 2016. He appeared in two games for the Patriots in 2015, finishing the season with 51 yards on 15 carries.

Cardinals | Carson Palmer will let finger heal

Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer (finger) won’t be playing in the Pro Bowl in order to let his injured finger heal. He will not need surgery, however.

Footballguys View: Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said that he didn’t think the finger was an issue against the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship, but we tend to disagree. Palmer was not effective and didn’t take care of the football. Arians said that Palmer probably should not have played in Week 17 of the regular season because of the finger.
