Saints | Ben Watson wants to return

New Orleans Saints impending free-agent TE Benjamin Watson said he would love to stay in New Orleans, adding that he has had good talks with owner Mickey Loomis and head coach Sean Payton about re-signing.

Footballguys View: A first-round draft pick in 2004 (Patriots), Watson had a career resurgence in 2015 with the Saints. He put up a career-best 825 yards receiving and tied a career high with six touchdown catches. Watson finished the year as the 7th-best fantasy tight end, and he would have to be considered a top-10 option in 2016 if he stays with the Saints.

Broncos | Peyton Manning efficient in Super Bowl

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has completed 68.2% of his passes in Super Bowl play in his career, and only Dallas Cowboys QB Troy Aikman (70.0%) had a higher completion percentage in multiple Super Bowl appearances.

Footballguys View: Manning is going to have to be efficient against an opportunistic Panthers defense. With two weeks to rest and prepare, it will be interesting to see what kind of game plan the Broncos come up with.

Panthers | Cam Newton has faced Denver once

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton was sacked seven times and had a career-low 5.9 total QBR in his one career matchup against the Denver Broncos back in 2012.

Footballguys View: We’re not going to drudge up a game from a few seasons ago to predict anything about Newton’s potential against the Broncos in Super Bowl 50. Throw out the records, throw out the history and get ready for a fantastic matchup against a world-class Broncos defense and Superman aka Cam Newton.
