Ohio State FS Tyvis Powell had the most complete performance of all safeties at the NFL Scouting Combine, according DraftInsider.net’s Tony Pauline, as Powell was clocked just under 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, fastest among all safeties. Powell recorded a 34 1/2-inch vertical jump while showing well with foot quickness, hip turn and initial burst.

North Carolina State CB Justin Burris quelled any concerns about his speed at the NFL Scouting Combine by running the 40-yard dash in the low 4.5’s to high 4.4’s Monday, Feb. 29. He looked fluid in drills, especially when flipping his hips and transitioning from moving backward to running forward.

Purdue CB Anthony Brown had a good performance at the NFL Scouting Combine, posting a time in the low-to-mid 4.3’s in the 40-yard dash while posting a vertical jump of 35 inches. He looked good in position drills and is a player on the rise heading into the 2016 NFL Draft after entering his final year at Purdue not highly rated.

William & Mary CB DeAndre Houston-Carson capitalized on a solid Senior Bowl with a good week at the NFL Scouting Combine. He ran the 40-yard dash in the low 4.5’s, and that was better than expected. He also looked good in all drills, displaying solid ball skills and fluidity in his hips and backpedal.
