Packers | Eddie Lacy weight loss corrected
Updating previous reports, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the team did not ask RB Eddie Lacy to lose as much as 30 pounds this offseason. ‘The Green Bay Packers have never, ever asked him to lose 30 pounds,’ McCarthy said. ‘That’s totally out of the realm of what we’re talking about. That’s the facts there. He’ll learn from this.’

NFL | Ezekiel Elliott posts good 40 time
Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott ran an unofficial 4.46-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine Friday, Feb. 26.
Footballguys View: Elliott’s the best back in this class. We knew he had speed, and this 40 time proves that. He also has moves and power in the open field or between the tackles. While he may not be on the same level as Todd Gurley, Elliot could start and star for some time in the NFL.
Redskins | Kirk Cousins to receive a tag
Washington Redskins impending free-agent QB Kirk Cousins will receive either the franchise or transition tag from the Redskins, according to a league source.
Footballguys View: Washington isn’t going to let Cousins hit the open market. The franchise tag for quarterbacks would pay Cousins nearly $20 million on a fully guaranteed one-year salary. It would also give Washington until July 15th to come to a new long-term deal with the young passer.
Falcons | Tevin Coleman to play a role
Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said the Falcons are expecting big things from RB Tevin Coleman alongside RB Devonta Freeman in 2016. ‘It’s a sense of a change of pace, they both come to the table with something very different in their skill set and, you know, Tevin’s got a lot of speed and he’s got a lot of natural ability. My feeling is he’ll continue to mature into this season and we’re expecting big things out of him teaming with Davonta. I think that’s a really nice tandem,’ Dimitroff said.
Footballguys View: Fantasy owners need to remember that Coleman began last year as a starter. When he went down with an injury, Freeman starred in his place. Both backs are talented, and this will be a RBBC that has the potential to frustrate fantasy owners in 2016.
