Cardinals | David Johnson to be among the best ever?

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson ‘has a chance to be one of the all-time best’, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

Footballguys View: Johnson was impressive down the stretch but let’s not get carried away here. He could easily be a top five running back this year, but you’ll have to play close to, if not full top five running back draft pick price to get him if early drafts are any indication.

Ravens | Joe Flacco’s agent to meet with Ravens

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco’s agent will meet with the Ravens during the NFL Combine to work on a contract extension. General manager Ozzie Newsome said the Ravens can be very active in free agency without having to get a deal done with Flacco.

Footballguys View: Flacco has a huge cap number this year and next, but Newsome should be able to find some way to get short-term relief without too much long-term pain.

Buccaneers | Kenny Bell primed for playing time

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Kenny Bell is expected to be a much bigger part of the team’s offense in 2016, according to head coach Dirk Koetter.

Footballguys View: The Bucs don’t have an established third receiver and Vincent Jackson is starting to decline. Bell could be an excellent complement, especially if Austin Seferian-Jenkins continues to struggle to stay healthy.

Bears | Kevin White will be ready for OTAs

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (shin) is expected to participate fully when the team begins its offseason program.

Footballguys View: White could be an impact player in a pass offense that lacked him and a healthy Alshon Jeffery for most of the season. He’ll be a mid-round flyer in redraft leagues and shouldn’t be forgotten in dynasty leagues where he could come at a discount.

Ravens | Breshad Perriman not cleared yet

Baltimore Ravens WR Breshad Perriman (knee) has not been medically cleared yet, but he should be able to participate in offseason activities, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome.

Footballguys View: There’s no reason for alarm bells yet, but if this absence stretches too long into the offseason, we should be wary of investing in Perriman for redraft leagues, where he will still effectively be a rookie. Restricted free agent Kamar Aiken could still figure into the Ravens passing attack in a big way with Perriman and Steve Smith both coming off of injuries.

Ravens | Eugene Monroe is starter for now

Baltimore Ravens OT Eugene Monroe (shoulder) is the starting left tackle right now because OG Kelechi Osemele is a free agent, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome. Monroe is coming off surgery on a torn labrum and could be asked to take a pay cut if he is not released.

Footballguys View: The Ravens offensive line was better in 2014 after a disaster in 2013, but 2015 was more of a mixed bag. James Hurst would be asked to do a lot more if the team doesn’t address the need in free agency or early in the draft.

Ravens | Steve Smith should be ready to go

Baltimore Ravens WR Steve Smith (Achilles’) is expected to be ready to go for the start of the regular season, according to general manager Ozzie Newsome.

Footballguys View: An achilles this late in a career usually portends poorly for a player’s fantasy prospects, but Smith didn’t come back to ride the bench and the Ravens are still operating with a shortage of proven receivers. He might end up having fantasy value again yet.
