Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht plans to meet with impending free-agent RB Doug Martin and his representatives at the NFL Scouting Combine this week, and he admitted that there could be stumbling blocks to re-signing Martin. However, there is mutual interest in a reunion, and Licht is optimistic that they’ll get something done. Head coach Dirk Koetter is also hopeful Martin will return.

Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning is likely to make a decision on retiring around the first week of March. Per his contract, Manning, 39, must take a physical by March 4. His $19 million contract becomes guaranteed on March 9, so a decision should occur before then. Manning is expected to get a medical checkup on the torn plantar fascia in his left foot and visit a personal trainer to assess his condition.
