Broncos | No movement in talks with several FAs

Denver Broncos impending free-agent OT Ryan Harris, FS David Bruton and S Omar Bolden have not made much progress in their contract talks with the Broncos.

Footballguys View: Harris is likely done in the NFL. Bruton should be back if the number is right as he’s great in the community and a standout special teams player. Bolden was the team’s best return man, but they could easily move on if the price gets too rich.

NFL | Christian Westerman to show off strength

Arizona State OG Christian Westerman has a chance to challenge the bench-press record of 49 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine. Westerman has recorded 41 repetitions at that weight in the past, according to the Arizona State coaches. Westerman is expected to posts solid times in the agility drills as well.

Footballguys View: Westerman is known as a stout player, and he could prove that on the bench press this week at the Combine. The guard class isn’t great (is it ever?), but Westerman should be a second- or third-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

NFL | Darron Lee should perform well at combine

Ohio State LB Darron Lee is expected to perform well at the NFL scouting combine especially in the change-of-direction drills. He is expected to weigh around 235 pounds at the combine and run the 40-yard dash between 4.4 seconds and 4.5 seconds. Lee made big plays in nearly every game this season and has the potential to be a top 15 pick in the draft, in the opinion of NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah.

Footballguys View: As a smaller linebacker, Lee may have to put about 10 pounds of muscle on his frame to play up to his potential in the pros. He’s smart and quickly diagnoses plays as they unfold in front of him. Lee is not a thumper, and he can get tangled up when bigger blockers get to him at the second level.

NFL | Miles Killebrew could impress scouts

Southern Utah SS Miles Killebrew may be able to run the 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds at the NFL scouting combine since he dropped some weight. Killebrew was clocked in the mid-4.4s when he weighed around 230 pounds last spring and will enter the combine at 217 points. He may several big plays as a box safety in college and is one of the higher character players in the draft.

Footballguys View: Killebrew arrives at the ball-carrier with natural violence. He’s a great tackler and will bring down his target most every time. While he is going to be timed as a fast player, Killebrew doesn’t always play up to that speed.

NFL | Derrick Henry expected to run fast

Alabama RB Derrick Henry is expected to report to the NFL scouting combine at around 240 pounds and run the 40-yard dash between 4.4 seconds and 4.5 seconds, in the opinion of NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah. He is also expected to record a vertical jump of around 40 inches.

Footballguys View: Henry draws a lot of varying opinions in “Draft Twitter” and fan sites. We think he’s a newer version of former Giants RB Brandon Jacobs. Henry is a tall back who needs some time to build up his power and speed. He could work as a two-down thumper for some team out there, and he’s likely a second-round pick.
