Ravens | Joe Flacco’s agent to meet with Ravens

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco’s agent will meet with the Ravens this weekend at the NFL combine to discuss a possible restructured deal.

Footballguys View: The Ravens need to re-work some deals in order to get enough money to be somewhat active in free agency this year. If Flacco’s contract is restructured it would give Baltimore some breathing room on figuring out how to manage nearly $85 million in cap space from now until 2018.

Jets | Antonio Cromartie released

New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie was released Monday, Feb. 22.

Footballguys View: Clearing up $8 million in cap space, and leaving no dead money, this was a move that we were all anticipating for some time. Cromartie is not the same player he used to be, but some team should give him a shot as veteran depth…and for a lower price. The Jets will turn to Marcus Williams to fill the void.

Eagles | Malcolm Jenkins extended

Philadelphia Eagles S Malcolm Jenkins agreed to a five-year contract extension Monday, Feb. 22. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Footballguys View: Jenkins was everywhere in 2015, finishing with a career-high 91 solo tackles last season. He was going to make $5.5 million this year, and this new contract likely lowered that cap number while extending Jenkins through 2020.
