Giants | Rueben Randle not expected back

New York Giants impending free-agent WR Rueben Randle has about a 15% chance of re-signing with the club, in the opinion of The Star-Ledger’s Jordan Raanan. Randle had 71 catches for 938 yards and three touchdowns in 2015. Of the 22 receivers targeted 125 times last season, Randle had the fewest yards and only one receiver had fewer touchdowns.

Patriots | Dion Lewis recovering well

New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis’ (knee) recovery from a torn anterior cruciate ligament has impressed well-known surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who performed the surgery on Lewis late last year. When Lewis visited Andrews in January, things were exactly where they should be, if not better. Lewis will gradually work his way back this offseason, but the Patriots anticipate him being ready for the start of the 2016 season.

Steelers | Increased role for Jesse James?

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Jesse James could have a bigger role next season in light of TE Heath Miller’s retirement. James is ready for the challenge. ‘I feel really comfortable with everything. I know the team has confidence in me to get the job done,’ James said. ‘It is my time to step up and handle business and make sure they are comfortable with me to be able to fill in and take over.’

Jets | New York has talked with Chris Ivory

New York Jets impending free-agent RB Chris Ivory and his representatives have spoken with the Jets this offseason, but Ivory is still expected to test the free-agent market. The Jets do want Ivory to return, but they probably won’t be able to pay him as much as other prospective teams. Furthermore, the Jets are expected to draft a running back since three of their unrestricted free agents this year are Ivory and RBs Bilal Powell and Stevan Ridley.
