Buccaneers | Robert Ayers could be cut in 2017
Tampa Bay Buccaneers DE Robert Ayers might be a potential one-and-done candidate to be cut in 2017 if the team scores well in the 2016 NFL Draft at the defensive end position. He signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract, but all of the skill guarantees are in the final year of the deal. He has a $3 million injury guarantee in Year 2, which the Bucs could get out of if they find the proper replacement.
Broncos | Russell Okung’s stay might not be long
Denver Broncos OT Russell Okung signed a five-year deal worth $53 million in the offseason, but there is no guaranteed money in a deal he negotiated himself. If the team mines a quality left tackle in the 2016 NFL Draft, or finds another who can fit into their cap next year better than the four-year option at $48 million, Okung could be jettisoned in 2017 without any cap hit.
Bears | Wait and see with Bobby Massie
The Chicago Bears signed OT Bobby Massie to a three-year contract in the offseason, but only $6.5 of the $18 million is guaranteed. If the team drafts a right tackle, or elects to move OG Kyle Long back to tackle, they could get out of Massie’s deal after just a one-year experiment.

He also slimmed down to 225 pounds this offseason, which is a seven-pound difference from the start of last year. Hyde compares new head coach Chip Kelly’s up-tempo offense to something similar he played in at Ohio State in college.
