Free-agent TE Jeff Cumberland (Jets) is expected to sign with the San Diego Chargers, according to a source.
Cowboys | Jason Jones still an option
Free-agent DE Jason Jones (Lions) is still an option for the Dallas Cowboys even though they re-signed DE Jack Crawford, according to a source. Jones would need to accept a deal close to the one-year, $1.1 million deal Crawford received.
Giants | Two offensive tackles visit
Free-agent OT Byron Stingily (Steelers) and OT Ben Ijalana (Jets) met with the New York Giants Monday, April 4.
49ers | Jordan Devey signs offer

Patriots | Two players officially sign
New England Patriots DT Terrance Knighton and TE Clay Harbor officially signed with the Patriots Monday, April 4.
Footballguys View: Knighton is going to plug up the middle and play as a poor man’s version of Vince Wilfork. Harbor is a reserve TE who has always teased with upside but never played up to his potential.
Lions | Wallace Gilberry signing
Free-agent DE Wallace Gilberry (Bengals) is signing an undisclosed deal with the Detroit Lions Monday, April 4.
Footballguys View: Gilberry is not the same player he used to be..even as a rotational pass-rusher. He’s a depth move for the Lions and should have little impact in 2016.
Giants | Signing Will Johnson
Free-agent FB Will Johnson (Steelers) said he is signing a two-year deal with the New York Giants Monday, April 4.
Footballguys View: The Giants are getting prepared to revamp their rushing attack in 2016. We’ll see if they can add Ezekiel Elliot (Ohio State) in the first round of the draft, but starting with Johnson is a good idea. He’s a thumper who can move linebackers out of the way. Johnson can even get a few short-yardage carries here and there if needed.
Lions | Matthew Mulligan signs
Free-agent TE Matthew Mulligan (Bills) signed an undisclosed deal with the Detroit Lions Monday, April 4, according to a source.
