Seahawks | Germain Ifedi ends first round

The Seattle Seahawks selected Texas A and M OT Germain Ifedi with the 31st overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft on Thursday, April 28.

Footballguys View: The Seahawks finally address the line with a guy who can play tackle or guard. He’s got a lot of power and is a big guy but his technique is shaky. It may take time to get him coached up, but the Seahawks will be patient with him.

Browns | Corey Coleman to bring big plays

Cleveland Browns WR Corey Coleman has the speed to turn short plays into long plays and will be a dynamic weapon in the offense, according to general manager Sashi Brown.

Footballguys View: While perhaps not the guy we’d have expected them to pick, he still adds a much-needed element to a very thin receiving corps. The Browns have a long way to go to make us feel good about the passing offense for fantasy purposes, but it’s a good start.

Broncos | Denver unlikely to pursue big-name QB

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford are unlikely to be pursued by the Denver Broncos after the team selected QB Paxton Lynch with the 26th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft, but Denver could still add a veteran quarterback at some point.

Footballguys View: Since they got their quarterback, this isn’t a shock. They got what they wanted out of Thursday, and part of that was not having to spend money or picks for a retread.

Cardinals | Cards draft Robert Nkemdiche

The Arizona Cardinals selected Ole Miss DT Robert Nkemdiche with the 29th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft on Thursday, April 28.

Footballguys View: The Cardinals improve an already awesome defense by adding Nkemdiche, who has some off-field issues but is a tremendous run stuffer. We are not shocked Bruce Arians took a shot with him, like he did with Tyrann Mathieu not long ago.
