Cowboys | Dallas open to selecting Joey Bosa

Ohio State DE Joey Bosa is still an option for the Dallas Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft even though he was suspended for one game at Ohio State this past season. ‘His character issue would not be a factor in us drafting him,’ Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said.

Footballguys View: The Cowboys should be open to selecting Bosa…he’s exactly what they need! Bosa can get after the quarterback early and often. He’s got a motor that just doesn’t quit, and Bosa is relentless on every snap. The Cowboys have made better decisions in the first round of recent drafts. We’d applaud the selection of Bosa at 4th overall in the 2016 NFL draft.

Bears | Alshon Jeffery not working out

Chicago Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) did not show up for offseason workouts, according to a source. He is training in South Florida, according to a source, with the Bears’ permission. Jeffery has already signed his franchise tag and is training in order to fix the soft tissue problems in his hamstring that plagued him in 2015.

Footballguys View: If he’s there with the Bears’ permission, then this is a non-issue. Jeffery is expected to report for mandatory minicamp from June 14 to June 16, if not sooner.

Eagles | Sam Bradford still Philly’s starter

Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford is still the Eagles’ starting quarterback and the Eagles still support him, general manager Howie Roseman reiterated Monday, April 25.

Footballguys View: Let’s make sure that Bradford’s feelings don’t get hurt. He’s only (sarcasm, of course) getting $22 million guaranteed from the Eagles. Getting overpaid and then having to compete for the starting job is difficult (more sarcasm). Bradford is reportedly asking for a trade since the Eagles moved up to the 2nd-overall pick…likely for QB Carson Wentz.
