Broncos | Denver takes Devontae Booker

Former Utah RB Devontae Booker was selected by the Denver Broncos with the 136th pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday, April 30.

Footballguys View: This is still CJ Anderson’s job, but Booker could be the future and his patient, tough running style could make him a three-down back down the road or if Anderson starts off slowly this season.

Raiders | Connor Cook motivated by slide

Oakland Raiders QB Connor Cook said watching other quarterbacks being selected ahead of him hurt him and will serve as motivation as he begins his NFL career.

Footballguys View: Well, his career is going to start holding a clipboard in all likelihood. Cook has experience and produced in college, but character concerns have dogged him all draft season. Now he’s lodged behind a locked in starter and will have few chances to show he deserves a shot somewhere as a starter at some point.
