Broncos | Emmanuel Sanders not worried about deal

Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders is set to make $5.6 million in 2016, the final year of his contract. He said Monday, April 18, that he isn’t worried about his contract and is focused on winning championships. ‘I mean this sincerely: The city of Denver has been really good to me,’ Sanders said. ‘I want to be a Bronco. I want to be a Bronco for a long time. I want to retire a Bronco. Hopefully everything works out. I’m sure both sides will come to something. We’re going to see how it goes, but right now it’s not about me. It’s about this team and about winning championships, and that’s what I’m focused on.’

Panthers | Josh Norman not close to extension

Carolina Panthers franchise free-agent CB Josh Norman is not close to reaching an agreement on a contract extension, according to a source. The Panthers have yet to come close to even matching this year’s tag number, which is $13.952 million in 2016. Manager Dave Gettleman said the team is ‘very comfortable’ letting Norman play under the tag this year. Both sides continue to talk, but nothing is expected to heat up until after the draft. Norman has no current plans to hold out of training camp if a long-term deal isn’t reached by July 15.

Jaguars | Jacksonville has two No. 3 WR options

Jacksonville Jaguars WRs Rashad Greene and Marqise Lee are expected to compete for the No. 3 receiver job during offseason workouts and training camp.

Footballguys View: We prefer Greene in this battle. Greene has speed to get on top of the defense in a hurry, and he’s proven to make difficult catches seem routine. Lee has a good skill set, but he’s largely disappointed and hasn’t looked the same since his early days in college at USC.
