NFL | Laquon Treadwell to meet with two teams

Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell will meet with the New York Giants Monday, April 18, and the Chicago Bears after that.

Footballguys View: Treadwell is a “plus possession” receiver who reminds some in the scouting community of Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins. He’s going to be a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, and we love his ability to win at the catch point. This isn’t a great WR draft class, but Treadwell is a talented player and arguably the best wideout entering the league this year.

Jets | No progress with Ryan Fitzpatrick

The New York Jets haven’t made any progress in an attempt to re-sign QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, according to owner Woody Johnson. Johnson also said it wasn’t imperative that the team bring Fitzpatrick back. ‘No, no. I think this is a big team. We’ve made our statements regarding Ryan Fitzpatrick well-known, and I’ll stick with those that we’ve made,’ Johnson said.

Footballguys View: Things are still at an impasse right now between the two sides. With the draft coming up, we could see the team making some moves to position themselves to select a rookie QB. Perhaps that will change things with Fitzpatrick as the Jets seem to be the only team interested in the veteran at this time.

Seahawks | Thomas Rawls, Jimmy Graham on track

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls (ankle) and TE Jimmy Graham (knee) are expected to be ready for Week 1, according to general manager John Schneider. Schneider added that both players are at similar stages in their rehabs, and he couldn’t identify one as being further along. He said he didn’t know if either would play in the preseason. ‘Right now, their rehab’s going well,’ Schneider said. ‘We’re trying to get them ready for the season. We’re not trying to get them ready to play Minnesota in the preseason.’

NFL | Four teams interested in Jalen Ramsey

Florida State CB Jalen Ramsey said he’s received the most interest from the San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Footballguys View: Let’s be honest, every team is interested in Ramsey but only a few will have the chance to draft him. Ramsey has top-5 talent in this draft class and can star at CB or FS in the pros.
