NFL | Shaq Lawson to visit two teams

Clemson DE Shaq Lawson will work out for the Detroit Lions and visit the Chicago Bears Tuesday, April 12.

Footballguys View: Lawson had a breakout season in 2015 as he finished the year with 12.5 sacks. His upper body strength allows him to shed blockers quickly, and his lower body strength helps him stand strong against the run. Lawson has scheme versatility but might be best utilized as a 4-3 DE at the pro level.

Cowboys | DeForest Buckner visiting Dallas

Oregon DE DeForest Buckner has a visit with the Dallas Cowboys, according to a source.

Footballguys View: Buckner is an option for the Cowboys with the 4th-overall pick. They could use pass-rushing help up front on the defensive line, and Buckner fits the bill. At 6’7″ he’s got an elite size and power combination. His wingspan is long, and this helps him get to the quarterback quicker.

Cowboys | No timetable for Lance Dunbar

Dallas Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar (knee) doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return to action after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament and patella tendon last season. There is a chance Dunbar may not be healthy enough in time for the start of the regular season, and he could be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
