Philadelphia Eagles WR Rueben Randle (gallbladder) is fine, according to a source, but he is extremely sore and will be out two to three weeks while he recovers from having his gallbladder removed, according to a source.

Redskins |Two linebackers hurting
Washington Redskins LB Junior Galette (Achilles’) will be out until training camp while he recovers from his Achilles’ injury, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Gruden also said that LB Perry Riley (foot) is in a walking boot and is having his injured foot rechecked after feeling soreness.
Redskins | Niles Paul has added weight
Washington Redskins TE Niles Paul appears to have bulked up this offseason as the Redskins started organized team activities this week. Paul gained at least 20 pounds last offseason but lost all of that weight while sitting out due to his ankle injury.
Cowboys | Tony Romo feeling great
Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo (collarbone) isn’t worried about his long-term future and thinks he can play four or five more years. He also said he feels ‘ahead of the game’ in his offseason work. Quarterbacks coach Wade Wilson said Romo has looked ‘phenomenal’ in offseason workouts.
Footballguys View: The Cowboys need to be ready just in case Romo goes down again. He’s great when healthy, and the Cowboys can win a lot of games with Romo in the lineup. However, he seems to always be banged up and the team struggles without him. They selected Dak Prescott in the draft this year to groom as a potential QB of the future.
Redskins | DeSean Jackson not at workouts
Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson has not participated in voluntary workouts this week, but he has visited the Redskins.
Footballguys View: This doesn’t sound like a big deal. There are some veterans who just decide to workout on their own as the voluntary portion of the offseason continues. Head coach Jay Gruden said Jackson knows what kind of shape he has to be in and does expect him to participate in other voluntary workouts.
Cowboys | Dez Bryant to have X-rays
Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant (foot) will have more X-rays on his injured right foot soon, and he hopes to participate more as the offseason progresses.
Footballguys View: Fantasy owners need to monitor Bryant as he continues to recover from this injury. Bryant admitted that he needs to be patient during his recovery, but said he feels great. He did participate in the early part of organized team activities Wednesday, May 25, before his rehabilitation.
Bengals | Ryan Hewitt hurting
Cincinnati Bengals TE Ryan Hewitt (undisclosed) recently underwent a minor, non-football procedure. He is recovering nicely and will return soon.
Footballguys View: The Bengals already have Tyler Eifert banged up, but Hewitt is really more of an H-back or fullback than he is a tight end. This sounds like he’ll be back in the near future.
Falcons | Not signing Brandon Boykin
The Atlanta Falcons are not signing free-agent CB Brandon Boykin (Panthers) after he visited with the team, according to a league source.
Footballguys View: Boykin has bounced around the league over the last year. He’s talented enough to be a decent slot corner, but there must be attitude/locker-room/off-field issues that prevent him from sticking in any one spot.
Eagles | No QB order set in Philly
Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich said that the order set with QB Sam Bradford as the No. 1, QB Chase Daniel as the backup and QB Carson Wentz as the third guy is ‘probably not the right impression.’ ‘But the other thing that — as coaches — that you’ve got to establish is a culture of competition. This is one of the most competitive industries in the world and so, to say that there’s not competition, that’s just the furthest thing from the truth.’
Footballguys View: Reich needs to be cautious with what he says so Bradford doesn’t get upset. Of course no order has been set. Bradford SHOULD be the starter for Week 1 as the team has indicated they’d like Wentz to sit and devlop. However, if Wentz shows that he’s better in camp then we could see their future franchise QB take over early this year…perhaps even Week 1.
Steelers | Ladarius Green idle from ankle surgery
Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (ankle) is out of organized team activities as he recovers from offseason ankle surgery. He doesn’t have a firm timetable, but he’s hopeful to be ready for training camp.
Footballguys View: Green has always had the talent, but he’s a player who has never truly played up to his potential. This ankle surgery is not a great start now that he’s with a new team. The team should accelerate his learning curve if he’s ready for training camp. With Green out, second-year pro Jesse James will get an opportunity to showcase his skill set.
