Broncos | DeMarcus Ware doesn’t practice

Denver Broncos DE DeMarcus Ware (back) did not participate in organized team activities Tuesday, May 24. He could return Wednesday, May 25, though.

Footballguys View: The team is just taking a precautionary stance with the future Hall of Fame pass-rusher. His back injury forced him out of the lineup for a few games last year, so the Broncos want to be careful. Fantasy owners need to note we’ll see a larger role for LBs Shane Ray and Shaq Barrett this year as Ware becomes more of a part-time player.

Bengals | Tyler Eifert may miss Week 1

Updating a previous report, Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (ankle) may not be ready for the start of the regular season, according to a source. Eifert will have surgery on his injured ankle in the near future. His expected recovery time is three months.

Footballguys View: Eifert suffered this injury during the Pro Bowl, but the team just decided to put him under the knife now. The Bengals are already short on targets with WRs Mohamed Sanu (Falcons) and Marvin Jones (Lions) moving on in free agency. When healthy, Eifert is a star TE and top-5 fantasy prospect at his position. Keep an eye on this situation as camp approaches. We think Eifert may skip the preseason in order to try and be ready for the start of the regular season.

Raiders | Sign two wide receivers

Free-agent WRs Robert Herron (Dolphins) and Nathan Palmer (Bears) were signed by the Oakland Raiders Tuesday, May 24.

Footballguys View: Herron is the player to watch here in super deep dynasty leagues. He’s a sharp route-runner who has spent time with the Bucs and the Dolphins. Both are competing for a spot on the depth chart behind Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree.
