Broncos | Trevor Siemian has chance to start

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian is considered a sleeper for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Gary Kubiak. ‘I think Trevor has a maturity to him. He’s kind of the sleeper, I would say. Trevor knows the offense. He’s very comfortable and can throw the ball, too,’ Kubiak said Monday, May 30. ‘We’ve also seen him make big plays in the preseason games under the lights. I wouldn’t sleep on Trevor to win the job, either.’

Dolphins | Miami prepared to welcome Dion Jordan back

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins LB Dion Jordan will apply for reinstatement to the National Football League Wednesday, June 1, and the team has reportedly indicated they’re prepared to welcome Jordan back if he’s reinstated. Jordan, who is 6-foot-6 and a bit under 270 pounds, has been tested twice a week and he has not failed or missed a drug test since he was suspended in April 2015.

Saints | Drew Brees remains focused

New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees has remained focus this offseason despite a potential future contract extension. Brees is able to keep his focus with whatever situation he is in, according to head coach Sean Payton. As was reported earlier, Brees and his representatives will not negotiate a contract during the 2016 season.

Footballguys View: Of course Brees is going to stay focused. He’s got a $30 million cap hit at this time as he enters the final year of his deal. The Saints could extend Brees to keep him so that he retires a member of the team, but more importantly they could lower his cap hit for 2016.
